Information About Rev. Jeff Ivins, member of the Church Of Satan since 2010.
Who is The Rev. Jeff Ivins and why use the name The Naked Satanist?
A brief intoduction to my podcasting/online media is below.
I started as a guest on The Ozone 98.7FM in Key West’s morning shows as Jeff The Naked Guy. After a bit of a stunt I pulled, I was no longer allowed to appear on the station’s shows, Navy command.
I stayed active with the station as a person who would interact from time to time behind the scenes. I cought the broadcasting bug. After ensuring I would not pull another stupid (and yes it was a stupid stunt) to the commanding officer for my Navy Command, I was allowed to start training to be a DJ. I started training as an FM DJ at WOZN 98.7FM (“The OZone 98.7”) in Key West in April 1995. After a few months of training, I got my Class 5 License to go as a regular “Weekend Warrior” at the station. I started as a DJ (with a name change to CrazyIvan) without supervision in July of 1995, while I was still in the US Navy. I stopped due to be Honorably Discharged from the Navy in December of 1995. I applied unsucessfully in Jacksonville, Fl. for a part-time DJ, but wasn’t accepted since I had no formal training. After I left WOZN, the station was sold and given new call letters. The current WOZN, at the time of this writing, somewhere in the South Carolina area.
Fastforward a few years to 2000.
I started podcasting for RadioFreeSatan doing Industrial music. Not my forte, but I still had the “bug” of broadcasting. The orginal owner fired me after a disagreement with him over a subject about Nine Inch Nails.
I started in the realm of Internet Radio DJ at Braingell Radio (which I currently own). I have been using the moniker of CrazyIvan with the station until this day. During my time the orginal owner of RadioFreeSatan “sold” the station to another person, and that person asked me to come back to host another podcast, which I agreed. But I made sure to tell the owner of Braingell Radio what I was doing and it would not conflict with the grene or my time slot at Braingell Radio. I started a 80s new wave show called The Pleasure Dome, but ended it after a year or two. I did get back into Instrustrial music for a few more months, then ended that.
While still with Braingell Radio, on June 1st I went back to broadcasting 80s New Wave and Post Punk using the moniker of JNothing. I named the show The Metro, after the song by Berlin. After RadioFreeSatan again was sold to another owner. I started out only planning to do 14 episodes, but that wouldn’t do.
RadioFreeSatan was sold to another owner, who had the requirement of only members of the CoS should be DJs at the station. He grandfathered me since I had been promoting the CoS and not going against the principles of the CoS. I continued to do live streaming during this time with Braingell Radio, and in 2010 I officially joined the CoS as a “citizen” (at the time of this writing I was elevated, over time, to the position of Priest).
The orginial owner of Braingell Radio started talking about selling it to someone who would continue to run the station. After a few low ball offers and the pressure of his then wife, I bought it and took over and would work with vBoogieMan on things with the station and content. vB (as we called him for short) passed away in 2018.
The Naked Satanist is the term used by Rev. Jeff Ivins to describe himself since he is also a naturist/nudist. He first got into Nudism/Naturism in 1990 while in the US Navy. He helped form a now defunct group in Key West in 1994, which he was out of the navy and back on the mainland when it went belly up.
He is/was a member of the following (Naturist/Nudist) groups off and on since 1993: Florida Keys Naturists (now defunct), South Florida Free Beaches, The Naturist Society, Assocation of American Nude Recreation.
